With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it's important to acknowledge the impact competing in the dance industry can have on young dancers. It’s essential for young dancers to remember that it’s ok to take breaks and not be too hard on themselves. It’s important to take time for self-care and to talk to friends and family.
Lauren is an established mental skills educator, dance teacher, and choreographer. Her areas of interest and expertise include sports and performance mental training, as well as the intersection of well-being and mindfulness.
The Moment is different because it's the first national dance convention to purposely integrate mental skills training classes for dancers, teachers, parents, and owners.
